Occupational Therapy

Common reasons for referral to occupational therapy

Occupational Therapists are licensed professionals. We develop individual goals in conjunction with our clients and focus on helping families achieve their goals in their everyday environments. We provide home, school and preschool based services.

Occupational therapy is "The therapeutic use of work, self-care, and play activities to increase development and prevent disability. It may include adaptation of task or environment to achieve maximum independence and to enhance the quality of life (American Occupational Therapy Association executive board, 1976).
